Biography
Carol is a Wyoming native whose interest has always been to work with industry to protect the environment while promoting economic growth. She has over seventeen years experience working in the environmental field. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in environmental conservation, she managed a water quality laboratory and performed environmental field sampling and analysis for a civil engineering firm. She also worked as the environmental specialist at the Naval Petroleum and Oil Shale Reserves in WY and CO. For the past 8 years, she has worked for MAMTC, now Manufacturing-Works, preventing EPA and DEQ audits by promoting reuse, chemical substitution, recycling and waste minimization. Utilizing an EPA Pollution Prevention Incentives for States (PPIS) grant, Carol has completed over 60 pollution prevention assessments, each tailored to the individual company’s specific needs. Clients include a variety of companies such as radiator and print shops, machine, metal fabrication, auto repair and auto body shops, sawmills, plastic injection moulding facilities, foundries, cabinet shops, and sugar beet plants.
